I keep ginger root. I like to clean it then freeze so when I need it I can get a bit and use it to make tea or to grate it for cooking.

Ditto.. 🙂 I am attempting to grow a piece in a pot.. I know it will have to come indoors during Winter and have no idea how long it will take to form tubas, but I so wanted to see the whole plant and when one piece I had forgotten about in the cupboard started to sprout.. It just had to be planted 🙂
